The HobbyZone Apprentice STOL S 700mm has been scaled down from the popular Apprentice 1.5m and 1.2m models and optimised to offer STOL Short Take Off and Landing capabilities similar to the E-flite Timber series. Its ultra micro size makes it more affordable and convenient to fly in more places and smaller spaces, from yards and parks to sports fields and beyond. The Apprentice STOL S 700mm is equipped with Horizon Hobby exclusive SAFE technology that makes it possible for almost anyone to learn to fly successfully. Beneath its durable exterior is an efficient brushless motor along with a factory installed ESC, receiver, and servos. The RTF version also includes everything needed to fly, including a Spektrum battery, charger, and an SLT6 controller transmitter with a USB C port for direct connection to a PC for easy plug and play use of the included trial version of the RealFlight Trainer Edition RC flight simulator.

The HobbyZone Apprentice STOL S 700mm has been scaled down from some of the most popular trainer aircraft ever designed to make learning to fly radio controlled aeroplanes easy and enjoyable. Its ultra micro size makes it ideal for flying in large yards, parks, soccer fields, and other suitable spaces where larger models cannot typically be flown successfully by first time pilots. Featuring a traditional trainer design, it has been optimised to deliver STOL performance similar to the E-flite Timber series. The brushless power system is compatible with common 2S 300mAh batteries and provides enough power to fly in wind conditions up to approximately 8km/h. Combined with the taildragger landing gear and oversized tyres, it can take off from paved, dirt, gravel, and grass surfaces with ease.

The advanced EPO construction is lightweight yet highly durable, and the removable wing makes transport, storage, and maintenance simple. Full 4 channel control combined with SAFE technology, including Beginner, Intermediate, and Experienced flight modes, allows you to learn quickly and progress to aerobatic manoeuvres such as loops, rolls, and inverted flight.

The Ready To Fly RTF version includes everything needed to fly in one box, making it ideal for new pilots. It includes a Spektrum SLT6 2.4GHz controller transmitter, a 2S 300mAh rechargeable LiPo battery, and a USB C charger compatible with a wide range of power sources. A Bind N Fly Basic version is also available for pilots who want to use their own Spektrum transmitter, batteries, and chargers. In both versions, the brushless motor, ESC, dual protocol DSMX DSM2 and SLT receiver, and servos are factory installed in the durable EPO airframe that is nearly ready to fly. Simply install the wing using the included thumbscrews and you can be flying in minutes.

The RTF version also includes a Steam key to download and activate a trial version of the RealFlight Trainer Edition RC flight simulator. This simulator features popular Horizon Hobby trainer aeroplanes and helicopters along with built in Virtual Flight Instructor lessons. It allows new pilots to practise flying on a desktop PC or laptop almost anywhere. Connect the included SLT6 controller transmitter to a compatible USB port using a USB C cable not included to fly for up to 100 minutes. You can then purchase RealFlight Trainer Edition or Evolution for unlimited use.
