During the Golden Age of Aviation, Gee Bee aircraft were among the pioneering pylon racing designs that captured widespread attention. Their teardrop shaped fuselages combined with short wings and compact control surfaces made them demanding to fly, but in capable hands they dominated the race circuit. Now, the E-flite UMX Gee Bee R-2 returns with upgrades including a more powerful 2S and 3S compatible power system, a strengthened airframe, and AS3X with optional SAFE Select technologies that make it easier and more enjoyable to fly for a wider range of pilots.

The UMX Gee Bee R-2 delivers a surprisingly approachable flying experience, with handling closer to a sport model than a traditional short coupled racer. It features an accurate scale outline with details such as flying wires and a pilot figure, while still offering smooth and stable flight characteristics. AS3X technology works in the background to enhance stability and control, while optional SAFE Select adds self levelling and flight limits to assist intermediate pilots.

The updated design includes a quieter and more powerful motor along with a reinforced fuselage and wing structure to handle increased performance, especially when using 3S 280–300mAh batteries. It arrives fully factory assembled and ready to bind to a compatible Spektrum DSMX or DSM2 transmitter, allowing you to be airborne within minutes.
