Overview

E-flite Timber models are among the most popular RC aircraft, known for their friendly handling, short take-off and landing (STOL) capability, and sporty performance. The E-flite Turbo Timber SWS (Sport Wood Series) 2.0 m is the largest Timber model yet, featuring lightweight, rigid and durable built-up wood construction that delivers a different flight experience compared to similar foam models. It is available as an ARF version ready for your chosen power system and electronics, or as a BNF Basic version equipped with factory-installed servos, a 4S to 6S compatible Spektrum Avian motor and Smart ESC, plus an 8-channel receiver with AS3X and optional SAFE Select technology.

Based on the design of the Turbo Timber 1.5 m models, this version uses a strong yet lightweight balsa and lite-ply airframe finished with UltraCote film covering and supplied mostly factory assembled. The bolt-together design requires no glue or special tools, allowing for quick assembly. A two-piece wing improves storage and transport convenience, while functional flaps enhance low-speed performance and reduce take-off and landing distances. Optional crow and full-span flaperons can also be used for improved STOL capability.

The BNF Basic version includes six factory-installed metal-geared digital servos, a 4S to 6S compatible Avian 5055–500 kV brushless outrunner motor, and a 100 A Smart ESC capable of providing telemetry data such as battery voltage, current and temperature when used with compatible systems. It also features an AR8360T receiver delivering full-range telemetry, motor reversing for improved ground handling, and the benefits of AS3X stability along with optional SAFE Select flight assistance. The ARF version allows you to install your preferred electronics and power system.

Both versions include durable aluminium landing gear with oversized tundra-style wheels and are compatible with optional Carbon-Z float and mounting sets (sold separately). Factory-installed LED navigation and landing lights, transparent windows, and a convenient top hatch for quick battery access complete the design, making it a versatile large-scale model suitable for intermediate to experienced pilots.
