Many RC pilots experienced their first short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft with the original E-flite Timber 1.5 m, known for its forgiving handling, versatile sport performance and ability to operate from a wide range of surfaces. This 10th Anniversary Special Edition retains the distinctive short-nose design and trim scheme of the original while incorporating modern updates found in current Timber models, including a top-mounted hatch for quicker battery access, reinforced landing gear mounts with heavier-duty springs, and combined connectors for easier wing installation and removal. These updates improve durability, convenience and overall capability.

The model continues to feature key elements that made the original so popular, including shock-absorbing landing gear with oversized tundra-style wheels, functional slotted flaps, optional leading edge slats and floats, and factory-installed LED landing, navigation and strobe lights. Performance is enhanced with a more powerful 3S and 4S compatible power system and a stiffened wing for improved handling and control. Built with lightweight yet durable composite-reinforced EPO construction, it delivers excellent STOL and slow-flight performance while remaining capable of a wide range of aerobatic manoeuvres.

The BNF Basic version includes factory-installed metal-geared servos, a 70 A Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC, and an AR631+ receiver with AS3X+ and optional SAFE Select technology. It also provides real-time telemetry data, including battery voltage and current, along with motor reversing for improved ground handling.
