Thanks to the E-flite Habu STS (Smart Trainer with SAFE) 70 mm EDF jet, you can learn to fly RC aircraft successfully with a jet. The Habu STS 70 mm EDF is based on the legendary Habu, one of the best high-performance electric ducted fan (EDF) sport jet platforms ever created. Engineers have optimised the design to improve low-speed handling and performance, while adding options to take advantage of SAFE flight assistance technology and Smart components. As a result, the Habu STS 70 mm EDF is the easiest-to-fly RC jet and an ideal choice for any pilot wanting to fly a jet.

Engineered for improved low-speed handling and performance to make flying and landings easier, the E-flite Habu STS (Smart Trainer with SAFE) 70 mm EDF makes it possible to learn successfully with a jet as your first RC aircraft. Based on one of the best EDF sport jets ever designed, it has been optimised with the addition of SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology featuring Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced flight modes, making it easier to fly successfully, especially with the help of an instructor. The inclusion of Smart components, including a lithium polymer (LiPo) battery and charger, makes charging more convenient and safer (battery and charger sold separately for the PNP version). Wide-stance tricycle landing gear with a steerable nose wheel and oversized tyres allow for take-offs and landings on surfaces ranging from paved runways to grass and even dirt. An optional Landing Assist Sensor (LAS) can be installed to automatically flare for smoother landings, making it even easier to learn. The durable EPO airframe assembles quickly and easily without glue or special tools, so you can be ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery.

The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version includes everything needed to fly in one box and is ideal for new RC pilots. From the Spektrum DXS 2.4 GHz transmitter, which can be used with other Bind-N-Fly (BNF) and BNF Basic aircraft after learning, to the 3S 4000 mAh Smart LiPo battery and convenient S120 USB-C Smart charger that works with a variety of USB power sources, there is nothing extra required. A Plug-N-Play (PNP) version allows experienced users to choose and use their own transmitter, receiver, battery and charger. For both versions, the powerful brushless system, including a telemetry-capable ESC and servos, is factory-installed.

The performance continues after learning to fly. In Experienced Mode, the Habu STS 70 mm EDF is capable of aerobatic manoeuvres including loops, rolls, inverted flight and more. A 3S battery provides an excellent balance of power and flight time, while an optional 4S battery can be used for increased speed and thrust without any modifications or upgrades (4S battery and compatible charger sold separately).
