The capabilities of the SCX30 Jeep JLU are unlike anything you’d expect from a sub-micro crawler. Its angled skid plate, for example, allows it to slide easily over challenging obstacles — a feature usually found only on competition crawlers. Ramped axle housings and high-clearance links also help avoid dragging and hang-ups.
Performance on the rocks gets another boost from the climbing stability created by the SCX30 platform’s forward weight bias. There’s plenty more to appreciate too, from damped shocks, full ball bearings, and a powerful Axial 88T motor to dependable Spektrum electronics mounted low in the chassis for the best possible centre of gravity.
