It’s more than an affordable way to get into amped-up 1/8 scale off-road action. With the TYPHON MEGA 665 4x4, you can enjoy bigger, better bashing now – and upgrade later to brushless power when you’re ready for even greater performance.
With a low centre of gravity, high-downforce wing, wide arms and multi-surface wheels and tyres, the TYPHON MEGA has long been the ideal platform for easing into aggressive 1/8 scale bashing. Super-durable and easy to control, it lets you handle a larger size and faster speeds with full confidence.
Now the TYPHON MEGA 665 4x4 pushes the buggy’s performance even further. Its high-speed MEGA 665 brushed motor is 11% larger than the previous 550-size unit, supported by an aluminium heatsink and 35mm cooling fan to improve efficiency and power. If you plan to go brushless later, the included transmission is already 3S brushless-ready. It’s also shielded from excessive torque by a new, maintenance-free overload coupling.
Large chassis side guards block out dirt, while the all-terrain suspension and oil-filled coilover shocks soak up bumps with ease. Ride height can be adjusted to increase ground clearance over uneven surfaces. Whatever the terrain, the multi-surface dBoots 2-HO tyres deliver excellent traction.
The TYPHON body comes factory-finished in fresh new colour schemes and now uses a clipless body retention system to preserve its clean, streamlined look. High-quality Spektrum electronics complete the ready-to-run package, including an SLT2 2.4GHz transmitter, LiPo-ready SLT 2-in-1 40A ESC/receiver and an S661 digital metal-gear servo for precise, powerful steering.
